Volunteering

Our friendly team of volunteers help usher shows and assist the Front of House Team in a number of duties, including checking tickets and enhancing the customer experience. Our voluntary staff are very important to us and we value their help and support in providing our audience with the best possible service.

We have now reached capacity within our volunteer team, however, we will be re-opening our books towards the end of the year.

Work experience

We are thrilled to announce our work experience offer for 2026!

To allow as many people as possible the opportunity to work with us, we’ll be running our work experience programme for two weeks, with multiple placements available per week.

Placements cover all departments, providing an overview of how a theatre operates as a whole. Most placements are admin and backstage-based, so if you’re mainly interested in performing or “making” (such as costumes, wigs/hair, or make-up), this may not be the right placement for you.

Priority will be given to students genuinely considering a career in technical theatre or theatre management.

You could be working in Admin, Technical, Creative Learning, Ticket Office, Hospitality, or Marketing.

Weeks available:

• Week 1: 16th – 20th February

• Week 2: 6th – 10th July

How do I apply?

Please do not ask your parents or teachers to contact us for your placement - we want to hear from YOU!

To apply, you must be aged 14–24 on the date of your chosen placement.

Please follow the below link to put in your application.

Applications must be received by Dec 1st.
