It has become a recognisable feature in Dartford. The old Orchard Theatre tree logo was an iconic landmark on the side of the venue, but now it has been removed to make way for a new logo, marking a new chapter in the theatre’s history.
First opened by the Duke of Kent in April 1983, the old logo represents a rich history of live entertainment and nostalgia. We take this with us into the next phase of the venue’s refurbishment. The same familiar building you know and love will continue to offer a home for live arts in Dartford, with a fresh breath of life and pride for the future.

Theatre Director, Tal Rosen, had the fun but nerve-racking job of riding high in the cherry picker to remove the first letter T. Contractors at Clifford Devlin, completed the job and power-washed the wall, ready for the new sign coming soon!
