Who are we
Orchard Theatre
1983: The CD was first launched, Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi was released, and, most significantly of all, the Orchard Theatre opened it's doors! Over five decades later, The Orchard Theatre established itself as one of South East’s leading live entertainment venues. The theatre's comfortable auditorium seats up to 956 audience members, and is fully air-conditioned (for all those blistering summers Dartford is known for).
Our eclectic programme features a wide array of top-quality musicals, drama, comedy, dance, family shows, one-night events, in addition to a world-class pantomime every holiday season (oh yes, it does!).
Orchard West
Orchard West is the temporary venue which will operate during the closure of The Orchard Theatre, for essential works following concerns over RAAC concrete and opened with Beauty and The Beast on Saturday 9 December 2023.
Orchard West is a fully functional, temporary, enclosed performance space with over 1,000 seats – complete with comfortable seating, heating and cooling systems, access provision and full backstage and front-of-house facilities including indoor toilets and bars. Supporting local theatre
