Progress Behind the Scenes at The Orchard Theatre

Exciting developments are underway as we continue our comprehensive refurbishment and modernisation programme at The Orchard Theatre. We are committed to bringing this beloved venue back to life, and significant work is happening behind the scenes to ensure a spectacular experience for our future audiences.

A major milestone has been reached in our structural improvements: we have successfully installed 6,800 kilograms of plasterboard throughout the theatre. That is the impressive equivalent of 6.8 tonnes of material dedicated to revitalising our space.

These updates are vital steps in our journey toward reopening. As you can see in the image, transformation is taking shape, with skilled teams working hard to lay the foundations for the performances to come. A tremendous amount of effort goes on behind the scenes before the curtains can rise, and this plasterboard installation is just one of the many essential components in our efforts to restore the venue.
