Great Ormond Street

The Theatres for Theatres Appeal Theatres for Theatres is an exciting three-year initiative to raise £4 million to make a dramatic difference to the lives of our young patients requiring specialist brain surgery at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.

The initiative will help to fund two new state-of-the-art operating theatres to be used by our Neurosciences team. The theatres will be used to treat children with complex and often life-threatening neurological and craniofacial conditions.  Theatres for Theatres will create world-class facilities which could allow Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital to treat up to 20 per cent more children in the next ten years.

Despite being a centre of excellence, many of their facilities are old, no longer fit for purpose and cramped, so capacity is limited.  They need more operating space, as well as better wards and other facilities more suited to their patients and their families.

What we can build with your help As part of the next phase of redevelopment of the hospital they are building a new state-of-the-art Centre for Neurosciences. The new facilities offer a well-designed and child friendly space and where the two new operating theatres, funded by the Theatres for Theatres Appeal, will be located.
