Following the huge success of G Live’s Summer Youth Project (SYP) Bugsy Malone in 2023, the SYP returns to the main house for 2024 with PETER PAN – A Musical Adventure by award-winning composers Stiles and Drewe.
A 2-week theatre project, where young people aged 8 – 18 years will have the chance to work with a professional creative team to rehearse and perform THREE full-scale performances of Peter Pan on G Live’s main stage. We are looking for professional and highly skilled amateur Musicians to play in the orchestra for this exciting production, playing live for all performances for 85 young performers. This is a paid experience.
We are looking for the following musicians to make up our orchestra: REED (Doubling Flute, Picc., Tenor Sax, Bass Flute*) FRENCH HORN KEYBOARD 1 & 2 DRUMS/PERCUSSION GUITAR (Doubling Electric, Acoustic, Banjo*) CELLO BASS (Doubling Electric*, Upright)
( * Instruments marked with an asterisk are desirable but not essential) You must be available for all the dates listed below (exact times to be confirmed): Tues 6th Aug (Band Calls, PM) Wed 7th Aug (Sitzprobe, PM) Thurs 8th Aug (Technical Rehearsals, All Day) Fri 9th Aug (Dress and Performance 1, All Day) Sat 10th Aug (Performance 2 & 3, All Day). Please write a short covering letter, detailing any experience of playing in a theatrical or ensemble setting production along with a CV and a self-tape of you playing a piece of your choice.
