Calling all young performers aged 8-18 years old……..
Get ready to step into a world of fairy-tale fun, unforgettable music, and larger-than-life characters! Our Summer Youth Project returns for another exciting year and this time, we’re bringing Shrek to the stage.
For two action-packed weeks, young performers will work with professional directors, choreographers, and vocal coaches to rehearse a full-scale musical production. From singing and dancing to set building and character development, participants gain hands-on theatre experience in a supportive, energetic environment.
The project culminates in three spectacular live performances, where friends, family, and the wider community can cheer on our talented cast as they bring Shrek the Musical to life.
What Participants Can Expect
Daily rehearsals focusing on acting, singing, and movement
Workshops on teamwork, stagecraft, and confidence-building
Opportunities to take on featured roles or shine as part of the ensemble
A chance to make new friends and create lasting memories
Three fully staged performances complete with costumes, lights, and sound
Key Dates:
The project will run from Monday 3rd – Saturday 15 August 2026 with auditions running Saturday 28 March 2026 09:30am-17:00.
There will also be an opportunity to audition remotely if your child/children are unable to make the in-person auditions. More info on this from January 2026.
