Lunchtime Concerts: Camilla Pay

Even if Camilla Pay is a name you haven’t heard before, it is highly likely you will have heard her harp playing on one of the many film scores she has performed on over the last two decades, they include The Little Mermaid, The Batman, Snow White and Downton Abbey, to name a few. Camilla has also appeared on many television shows including Strictly Come Dancing and albums by artists such as Sir Paul MacCartney and John Legend. 

Classically trained as a scholar at the Royal Academy of Music she has performed all over the world as a soloist and with her chamber group, Korros Ensemble. 

Camilla will bring a lovely varied programme to G live, to showcase the versatility of the harp, from transcriptions of J.S.Bach and well loved Debussy, key pieces from the solo harp repertoire, including Gabriel Fauré, to the fiery heat of Piazzolla and renditions of some of her favourite film composers, including Nino Rota. She will also talk about the history of her instrument and its journey through the ages, as well as her own personal career highlights.
