Age 9-16About the Audition Workshop
This is a 2-hour Audition Workshop open to anyone aged 9 to 16 who is considering auditioning to be a performer in our Summer Youth Project or looking to learn more about audition technique!
During the workshop, you will be taught a song, dance, and do character work with our team of Creatives. You will get constructive feedback and also have the chance to ask questions about the audition process and the Youth Project.
You don’t need to have any acting or performing arts experience to attend.
Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and bring a bottle of water.
Please note that this Audition Workshop is for confidence building and practice ONLY. Taking part in this workshop does not guarantee you a place in our Summer Youth Project.
You need to register for Summer Youth Project separately – please ensure you read the audition pack and fill in the forms.
About Summer Youth Project
The Wycombe Swan’s Summer Youth Project (SYP) is the crowning jewel in the Creative Learning calendar. Every year we tackle the impossible and revel in the journey.
Over the two-week project, Wycombe Swan comes alive to the sights and sounds of more than 100 young people doing everything they can to put on a full-scale musical in time for curtain up! All performances take place on our main stage in the 1,000 seated Wycombe Swan Theatre. Numerous SYP participants have gone on to have successful careers both on and off stage.
The SYP auditions will take place on Sunday 27th April. It is free to audition, and you must apply.
If you have any questions about the session or about SYP itself, please email [email protected]
