Southend has a rich and thriving music scene stretching back over many years. It is to showcase the variety of talent on offer in the city, that the Dixon Sessions return with a great line up to kick the new season off: Out of the Mist and Mister Pockets.
Out of The Mist are a Southend based acoustic duo. The pair will be performing their latest single Woman Don’t Tear Me Down, which was recently featured on BBC Introducing. Their blend of folk, jazz and blues interwoven with spiritually driven lyrics brings delight for both ears and heart.
Mister Pockets,a local Southend based three piece, will be playing tracks from their recent EP releases Top Shelf Crab Meat and Sweet Egg?. After making it to Future Hits Radios top 15 tracks of 2024 list are looking forward to a return to Dartmouth Music Festival this May. Having a collective passion for classic rock, 90s and early 2000’s alternative music and a love of playing from the heart, they bring something special to the table, which – when added to a live environment- makes for an entertaining and passionate experience.
