Heritage Open Days Panto Costume Design Workshop

Crewe Lyceum Theatre is thrilled to announce a special panto costume design workshop as part of the Heritage Open Days Festival. This unique event invites participants aged 14+ to dive into the rich history of pantomime and channel their creativity into designing a costume for a character that features in our upcoming panto Beauty and the Beast. Attendees will have the chance to delve into the theatre’s archives, examining costumes from past pantos to understand the craftsmanship and creativity that goes into each design. Guided by a local professional costume designer, the culmination of this workshop will be a showcase of the final work at the heritage fair on the 14th of Sep, providing a platform for participants to display their work to the public. Whether you’re a seasoned theatre enthusiast or a newcomer eager to learn, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to engage with the storied history of pantomime and contribute to its ongoing tradition.
