Overview

Remember, remember it’s the month of November. The only thing blowing up around here is more fantastic stand-up at our regular stand-up Lyceum comedy club! November fun-fire-crackers are Jack Campbell, Anna Thomas, Steve Day and David Hoare! Do note that lines ups are subject to change Steve Day Steve Day describes himself as Britain’s only deaf comedian, if there are any others he hasn't heard. Actually there are a couple of others who have started since he wrote that joke, but it's only a joke after all. For the past eleven years Steve has been performing to huge laughter around the country and abroad, well they tell him the laughter was huge to humour him, he doesn't know either way. Steve Day is a truly unique comedian - warm, witty and engaging whilst dealing with the dilemmas of being a deaf man in a hearing world. Steve went on his first national tour back in 2006, and has since been performing across the world to critical acclaim.  "Revelatory and very funny" - The Guardian "Wonderful" - Bath Chronicle "Warm, funny, frank and thought-provoking" - The Scotsman Anna Thomas Winner of the BBC New Comedian Of The Year Award 2021 Nominated for the Sean Lock Award on Channel 4, 2023 Originally from Burry Port, South Wales A bit daft Anna Thomas is an award-winning comedian, originally hailing from Carmarthenshire, South Wales. Anna has also provided tour support for acts like Joe Lycett, Colin Hoult and Kiri Pritchard-McLean. “Welsh whimsy… one of the UK’s hottest new acts” Dead Cat Comedy “Super refreshing and original in an often comedy sea of beige… one of them with funny bones she is.” Barking Tales/ Harriet Dyer “Welshwoman Anna Thomas...exudes a convivial daftness”  “She's an odd fish, that's for sure, but owns it.” Chortle Jack Campbell Jack began performing stand-up whilst at De Montfort University, Leicester in 2010 and has been performing regularly since and has performed across Europe in Germany, Estonia, Finland and Latvia as well as further afield in Australia. English Comedian Of The Year 2014 Short listed for BBC Radio New Comedy Award Final 2014 Tour Support for Larry Dean, Dane Baptiste and Luisa Omielan 'Funny and refreshingly inventive' House of Stand Up '100% Funny, gets hearty laughs' Broadway Baby David Hoare is a one-liner-musical-comedian; mixing silly, staccato songs with idiotic mischievousness! Winner of the Audience Favourite Prize at the Musical Comedy Awards 2021. "An annoyingly funny young man" Gary Delaney. “With some slick one-liners and aggression akin to Bo Burnham, James Acaster or Tim Vine” Deadline News.
