Crewe Lyceum Theatre has partnered with Visyon, a local mental health charity that supports the emotional well-being of children, young people, and their families in Cheshire East, to offer a well-being peer support programme for young people aged 12-16 (funded by Cheshire East Council).
The programme, Creative Connections, will give young people the opportunity to be involved in a variety of creative activities such as visual art, music, theatre, and creative writing. We know that being involved in the creative arts can enhance well-being, boost confidence and build resilience to cope with life’s stresses. It may be particularly beneficial for young people who are looking to increase their social connections and to learn new skills. Participants will also have the opportunity to earn a Discover Arts Award qualification while learning about mental health and overall well-being. Sessions will be held weekly on Mondays from 4pm to 5:30pm in our Studio Theatre.
The current programme is now full, and we will return in September 2025, to be added to the waiting list please fill in our registration form here: Creative Connections Registration Form
