Change of Heart is the fifth studio album by the band Change. It was released in April 1984 and reached the Top 40 Album chart in the UK.
Some 40 years on the band return to the UK to celebrate its release in front of a ‘Class reunion of all the Essex Soul Boys and Girls from this glorious mid 80’s era.
With the influence of magic producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis (also heavily involved with the likes of the SOS Band at the time) the album was a dancefloor classic in the more upfront UK Soul Clubs and tracks such as ‘Change of Heart , You are My Melody were instant classics along with 2 more tracks from the album "It Burns Me Up" and "Say You Love Me Again".
The band broke through in 1981 with the debut album ‘Change’ which featured the hit singles ‘A Lovers Holiday’ and with a very young Luther Vandross on lead vocal, the singles ‘Searchin’ and ‘The Glow of Love’.
Very special guests for this show will be London's very own Loose Ends – another band held dear in the hearts of the Essex 80’s Soul crowd. With massive hits such as Hangin on A String / Gonna Make You Mine / Slowdown / Don’t be a Fool then this unique double bill is a must see Xmas show for all 80’s Soul music fans!
