The Passing of Mrs Nelson is an original farce from The CB Theatre Company.
His Majesty King John II is undertaking the very first solo home visit to a centenarian in a bid to win the hearts of the Great British public. The chosen subject? Mrs Nelson. Devoted royalist. Mrs Nelson is assisted by her granddaughters Janet (eager and enthusiastic) and Charlotte (reluctant and unimpressed). The action picks-up in the lounge as the two sisters prepare an afternoon tea fit for a king. There’s just one tiny complication. As the royal arrival looms, the sisters are so caught up in preparations that they fail to notice a rather inconvenient development in the rocking chair… A 100th birthday. One royal guest. And a very big problem.
