He is pursued across the moors of Scotland by the nefarious Black Stone, a clandestine criminal organization hell-bent on plunging the world into a global war. In a race against time, Hannay must evade capture and certain death at the hands of the criminals responsible, and prevent the assassination of a foreign dignitary by anarchist spies.
