Pam Ayres is returning to Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre for a one-off Charity Show, to raise funds for Hatherop Primary School’s Big Build campaign, a community initiative to improve the school buildings for children and families in and around the local area. The School is aiming to raise £1.5m for much needed development work, to create the bright modern spaces that the pupils deserve. Further information at www.hatheropbigbuild.com.
Local resident and performer Pam Ayres has spent a lifetime providing hilarious and profound insights into the delights and tribulations of everyday life, and she has gathered her career’s work of poetry into her latest book, DOGGEDLY ONWARD – A LIFE IN POEMS, 1970 to 2020s. This book traces the course of her life, and illustrates how her work has provoked laughter, and a few tears, in people all over the world.
Recent TV appearances include two series of The Cotswolds for Channel 5, This Morning, Alan Titchmarsh, Countdown and Would I Lie To You?
Tickets at £40 are now on sale for Pam’s show at the Wyvern Theatre – on Sunday 2nd November 2025, at 3.30pm. There are a limited number of SuperSeats available at £100 for Front Stalls seats, which entitles the ticketholders to attend a post-concert Drinks & Canapés Reception to meet Pam Ayres.
