The death of a much-loved husband prompts a group of ordinary women in a small Yorkshire Women's Institute to do an extraordinary thing… Blasting away all preconceptions of what it is to be in the WI, they decide to create a tasteful nude calendar to raise money for charity. Upturning preconceptions is a dangerous business however and none of them expect the emotional and personal ramifications taking part in such a daring endeavour brings about! 

Gradually the making of this fabulous and funny calendar brings each woman unexpectedly into bloom. 

The true story of the Calendar Girls launched a global phenomenon with a million copycat calendars, a record-breaking movie, and now this heart-warming musical written by Tim Firth (About A Boy, High Fidelity) and Take That’s Gary Barlow.
