Join us for our relaxed, family friendly, accessible film screenings at the Palace Theatre in the main auditorium.
Relaxed screenings and performances are intended to make visiting to our venues more accessible, meaning we do not worry about noise level during the screening and customers are free to move between the auditorium and the foyer spaces.
A buggy park and ‘chill out’ zone are made available, and refreshments can be purchased.
We are committed to providing greater accessibility to the arts for those who benefit from a less formal viewing experience. This can include those with learning and sensory disabilities, children, and adults living with additional needs and memory issues.
Joey Evans is an opportunistic cad who always seems to land on his feet. After elbowing his way into an emcee job at a small Chicago nightclub, he finds himself juggling the attentions of a naive young woman and a wealthy – but married – society dame.
Joey charms the socialite into setting him up in his own nightclub. Soon he’s riding high, playing the big-time operator. When a mobster threatens to spill the whole business to the socialite's husband, she promptly dumps Joey… and the club.
Having tasted his own medicine, Joey moves on, certain to land on his feet once again.
Starring Rita Hayworth, Frank Sinatra, and Kim Novak.
