April in Paris
Join us for our relaxed, family friendly, accessible film screenings at the Palace Theatre in the main auditorium.
Relaxed screenings and performances are intended to make visiting to our venues more accessible, meaning we do not worry about noise level during the screening and customers are free to move between the auditorium and the foyer spaces.
A buggy park and ‘chill out’ zone are made available, and refreshments can be purchased.
We are committed to providing greater accessibility to the arts for those who benefit from a less formal viewing experience. This can include those with learning and sensory disabilities, children, and adults living with additional needs and memory issues.
Doris Day stars as ‘Miss Ethel 'Dynamite' Jackson, a chorus girl who mistakenly receives an invitation from the State Department to represent the American theatre at an arts exposition in Paris, France. There's only one problem: the invitation was meant for Miss Ethel Barrymore. Meanwhile, S. Winthrop Putnam, the bureaucrat who made the mistake, tries unsuccessfully to correct his mix-up. It's too late, for Dynamite Jackson is off to Paris, where the two meet and marry, or so they think.
