Home / News / Which top five Fareham Live shows are in high demand?
Back in March, Fareham Live released our hotly anticipated lineup, jam-packed with music, comedy, drama, and dancing. Since then, our eclectic lineup of shows has been selling fast, with more than 10,000 tickets snapped up by theatre-goers across the region. But which shows have proven the biggest hit with our audiences? If you’re planning on going to these and haven’t secured your spot yet, you might want to get a wiggle on!
Coming in at number five is Simon Brodkin and his hilarious Screwed Up tour, which has previously sold out an incredible 110 dates across the country. The world-famous prankster, Lee Nelson creator, and most-watched stand-up comedian on TikTok, will be ripping into celebrity culture, social media, the police, Putin, Prince Andrew, and even God. Nobody is safe from his witty observations, which also pokes fun at his own mental health, his family, and previous convictions. We will let him be the one to explain more about how he once found himself at an underground sex party... Advised 14+.
We are proud to present the most magical fairytale of them all for our Christmas Pantomime: the glittering spectacular, Cinderella.
This showstopping family extravaganza, brought to you by the award-winning Imagine Theatre, features TV favourites AJ and Curtis Pritchard. The brothers will no doubt delight fans with their brilliant camaraderie and dancing prowess in their performances as the dashing Prince Charming (AJ) and Dandini (Curtis).
Joining them is the hilarious impressionist Paul Burling, a show business veteran with 25 years of experience and a finalist on Britain’s Got Talent. Paul will be taking on the beloved role of Buttons, bringing his rib-tickling hilarity to delight audiences young and old alike. Make sure you are part of the magic—get your tickets today!
Singing sensation and cruising legend Jane McDonald graces the Fareham Live stage for one night only this November, filling the Main Auditorium with love, glamour, and her warm Yorkshire wit.
We’ve been huge fans of Jane since she burst onto TV in the late '90s (who here watched The Cruise?) and it’s been a thrill to follow her career over the last three decades.
From her successful music career, which has seen her score four top 10 albums, countless tours, and a sold-out audience at the MGM Las Vegas, plus her stint as a panellist on Loose Women, it’s safe to say that Jane is officially the nation’s sweetheart.
Definitely not one for the faint-hearted, Jimmy Carr brings his “Laughs Funny” tour to Fareham, promising shocking, fast-paced one-liners made synonymous with his dark brand of comedy.
A household name across the UK, Jimmy is one of the biggest-selling comedians in the world, with his last tour, titled ‘Terribly Funny’, selling over one million tickets worldwide and performed in more than 50 different countries. We have a funny feeling that Jimmy’s latest offering is set to surpass this.
Some people are repelled by Jimmy's dark brand of comedy. This show is not for them. But if it's the kind of thing you like, then this is the kind of thing you’ll like.
Strictly 16+ only.
Hitting the Number one spot is our eagerly anticipated opening show - the iconic Rocky Horror Show, starring Australian superstar, Jason Donovan. Fresh from his stint as Teen Angel in Grease, Jason will be swapping his wings for fishnet tights as he takes on the electrifying role of Dr Frank’n’Furter, made famous by Tim Curry in the cult 1973 film, The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Directed by Christopher Luscombe and produced by Trafalgar Theatres, The Rocky Horror Show is the story of virginal Janet Weiss and her college beau Brad Majors. The squeaky clean pair break down outside a creepy mansion on their way to visit their former college professor Dr Scott. However, once they meet the charismatic Frank’n’Furter, chaos – and a lot of pelvic thrusting – ensues!
Due to its naughty content, this show is recommended for guests aged 12+.
We can’t wait to welcome you to Fareham Live once we officially open our doors on this September.
