Fancy a role in the theatre? Our cast is constantly growing and we'd love you to be a part of it! We encourage new staff from varied backgrounds with different experiences, skills, and stories to join us and help influence and develop our working practice.
Our friendly team of volunteers help usher shows and assist the Front of House Team in a number of duties, including checking tickets and enhancing the customer experience. Our voluntary staff are very important to us and we value their help and support in providing our audience with the best possible service.
We have now reached capacity within our volunteer team, however, we will be re-opening our books towards the end of the year.
Through our one-week programme, you will be given a tailored experience depending on where your skills and interest lie. We will build a schedule based around the following departments:
Programming
Administration
Marketing
Customer Experience
Hospitality
Creative Learning
Health and Safety
Technical Theatre (Stage Management, Lighting, Sound)
Person Specification
Enthusiasm for theatre and the arts
Friendly and welcoming attitude and an eagerness to learn
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent punctuality
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Studying a course which links to the theatre (Theatre, Arts & Entertainment, Travel & Tourism, Business)
Our work experience offering has always been oversubscribed, so only those with courses or interests which are linked directly to the arts and entertainment industry will be considered for interview. Priority will be given to students from the London Borough of Hillingdon.
