Through these opportunities, we hope to open up the world of theatre and the arts to those who haven’t yet have the chance to engage with their local venue!

The Beck has partnered with Compass Collective, a charity who support unaccompanied minors, refugees and people seeking asylum to build resilience and integrate into the UK through arts-led professional development programmes to co-produce and host their showcases. Visit Compass CollectA masterclass for young people aged 9-19 where you can work in a professional theatre under the supervision of a highly skilled creative team! Inspiring children that may not have access to theatre and provides a crucial artistic outlet for them during the summer holidays whilst being self-funding and non-profit making. The ethos behind it has always been to provide the best possible experience and training at the lowest possible cost to the local young people who get involved.
Sign up now for Summer Youth Project 2025We often visit local schools, colleges and libraries to deliver workshops on theatre, specific shows or attend careers fairs. We have also welcomed groups to the Beck to show them around the venue and provide an insight into how a theatre operates!

Throughout the year we welcome people who want an insight into how the Beck runs for week-long work placements! We introduce you to all the departments which make up the Beck, including Customer Experience, Marketing,Ticketing, Technical and Producing.
